HALLOWEEN AT LAWRENCE

Be Safe:

• Students must keep their face visible at all times.  No masks, hoods, or excessive makeup/gore may be worn.
• Clown costumes may not be worn.
• Weapons or replica weapons may never be brought to school.
• Costumes may not restrict the movement of a student, obscure the view of others, or cause a danger to themselves or others.
• Appropriate footwear must be worn at all times.  No high heels, slippers, or open toes shoes may be worn.

Be Responsible:

• Costumes may not be too revealing.  No sleepwear, bathing suits, French Maids, etc.
• Costumes must not interfere with the instructional program or other student's ability to learn.
• Costumes must be appropriate for students at the middle school level.

Be Respectful

• Costumes should be fun but may not be demeaning to any ethnic group, race, religion, disability, gender, or individual staff or student.
• Students should respect themselves and the rights of others to safely enjoy the Halloween festivities.
• Respect the classroom environment and not lose sight of the focus on learning.
